                             "What it's all about"

This is where I started, and in the end, this is where I hope to finish. Independent Film is what brought me to the West Coast from Baltimore, Maryland. I can’t imagine life without a camera and a means to shape what it sees. I have worked on many Independent Films over the last 12 years, spanning way back to 1989 when my parents first brought home a video recorder.

I wrote and directed my first movie that summer, entitled Revenge. It was about a man who was killed, after testifying against two criminals, and how they were brought to justice. The following Winter, I wrote my second movie, and this time bumped it an extra fifteen minutes, and added special effects..(.i.e. a view from binoculars). The title of which was, When The Time Comes. This one about a boy who loses his way, and finds it again after his dead father visits him through the television set. Then it was on to what could amount to a glorified Public Service Announcement in my next short, Anything’s Possible. This was about a young man destroyed by alcoholism and his quick rehabilitation back to health. After that, I slowed down, and some time passed.

For the next year and a half, high school kind of took over a different meaning. It wasn’t until my junior year of college at Salisbury State University, that I once again found my love for the Independent Film. That was the year that I co-wrote Running. This was about a young man searching for the killers of his young friend, while being chased at the same time. It was my first full length feature. That summer, before my senior year began, I wrote, I
n The Crossfire (click to watch teaser trailer). This feature took my movie making to an even higher level in terms of challenging scenes and character interaction. The plot was much more convoluted than any of my previous attempts, about a pair of hired killers and thieves, trying to do some dirty work for the local mafia. Meanwhile two cops, both with their own issues, are hot on their trail. It turned out well, and still is a means of inspiration to me today as to what can be done with no money. I graduated that year. It was 1997.

After two more years of working at the local CBS affiliate,
WBOC 16 (click to watch my demo tape), I decided to take off for Los Angeles. I needed a change, and wanted to get back in to what I love most, Independent Film.
