OUR LITTLE SECRET

Our Little Secret is a short film that I wrote, and directed as part of a
24-hour film festival. The idea was to be given an abstract idea at 12am
on Friday night- and by 12am Saturday night- WRITE, SHOOT, AND EDIT
a 6-12 minute short film. The idea handed to me at midnight was, Our
Little Secret, and my location was a garage. (One scene had to take place in a
garage.) This is what I came up with after 45 hours of no sleep
altogether- much Red Bull and coffee later- AND after losing a half tape's
worth of footage due to bad audio on the tape itself.
Writer’s Reflection
This was quite a test of wills. My buddy Dan Hickey
was with me the whole time. There were times when I didn't think I would
finish. When I realized I had only 5 hours left- all my actors were
at work by this point- and 3 scenes I had no audio for... Alas, I stuck
through it- one edit after another- until I came up with a way to salvage the
footage I had- and the result was a 6 minute short that I was very proud of
given the circumstances. Take a look and let me know what you think.
